So sorry to read this — you’ve gained an incredible guardian spirit to watch over and guide you the rest of your life — I absolutely know this. My best friend died about 7 years ago and I have felt his presence multiple times, knowing full well I’m being looked after from the unknown and infinite Elsewhere. Death itself is our final act, but not our last appearance should we be kept alive in memory and called out to often. Your brother’s spirit is for sure with you — just a click or two of the dial away, on a slightly different, imperceivable frequency. The pain will get less severe over time (obviously), but it’ll take… a while. Bless you Blair. Sending you a big comforting hug. Deeply sorry for you and your fam.

Sending much love and positive vibes your way. I think the thing that helped me when my brother passed and when my mom passed was to remember to provide yourself grace. Feel your feelings. But it is evident that you are loved and you shared an immense love with RJ and that’s a beautiful thing to honor and cherish always.

Love you Blair! Keep writing! Even if it’s not for sharing, write! My husband died last summer and writing out all the feelings has been so helpful. Especially to remember things like the song coming on, when you’re in such a fog and you can’t remember so much of this time, it’s nice to be able to look back on.🖤

Beautiful post. I hope his memory is a blessing to you and your family. My mom passed 7 years ago right before Mother’s Day. The hole our loved ones leave in our hearts is massive, but it will get slowly better as the years pass. Love to you, Blair. Xoxo

Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing this. It’s brave and beautiful. When my grandfather passed my mom said something that stuck with me: no matter how much time you have with someone you love, it never feels like enough. I can’t wait until you’re playing the Store next so I can send over a Sprite and a box of wheat thins ❤️

i lost my father 6 years ago. it was the hardest thing in the world to accept. he was my best friend. i share this because i found your words touching and wanted to share my thoughts. i was hesitant to speak, but maybe i am providing some compassionate insight, and that is my only hope.

infinite pain from infinite love . . . that's quite profound and i believe accurate. turning loss into inspiration from what someone would have wanted for one's self seems like the most honorable, joyous, loving, and faithful choice.

from what i believe, bringing joy to people through shows, podcasts, and stand up is a highly admirable choice which certainly does not always get the kind of respect it deserves, but you should know you have mine - and anyone loving enough to appreciate the value of entertainment which brings joy, laughter, and reflection.

best and God bless.
